Your writing
Into Aether provides a private writing and release ritual for adults aged 18 and older. Messages are held temporarily in the app's foreground session. Into Aether does not save or upload your messages, and has no message history, accounts, analytics, advertising, or content logging.
Releasing a thought, leaving the writing experience, or putting the app in the background discards its content. Interruptions can also clear a draft. There is no recovery. The app drops its references to this content; it cannot guarantee immediate erasure of operating-system or device memory.
Reflections
Reflections are optional lines written in advance. Selection uses a small phrase matcher on your device. Nothing is sent to a cloud service or AI. A short list of the last five displayed reflection lines is kept only in memory to reduce repetition, then cleared when the foreground session ends. Messages, detected themes, and reflection history are not stored on disk.
Preferences
The app stores only whether you confirmed that you are 18 or older and whether you dismissed the first-use privacy note. These preferences remain on your device and can be removed by deleting the app's local data. They contain no messages.
Device protections and limitations
Into Aether enables native screen-capture protection and obscures sensitive content when it loses focus. Writing is unavailable if the app cannot enable its required protection. Your device, operating system, keyboard, backups, and other software operate separately from Into Aether. The app requests that keyboard corrections, suggestions, and autofill be disabled; it cannot control third-party keyboards or other apps.
External services
Finding Support opens separate calling, messaging, or web services. Into Aether does not send your draft to them or insert it into a message. Their privacy terms apply when you use them. Contacting the developer through a support email or website is also separate from the private writing experience; any information you choose to send can be received by that support channel.
App stores
Apple and Google may process purchases, downloads, device information, diagnostics, or beta feedback under their own policies and your settings. This policy describes Into Aether's app-owned writing and reflection features, not the app stores or operating system.

Support emails are received through Microsoft Outlook. They are separate from app messages and may be retained to respond to your request. Please do not send private thoughts or sensitive personal information. You can contact the address above about support correspondence or this policy.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with its revision date.
This policy describes the mobile app. Its public support website has no thought editor, contact form, advertising, or analytics added by the developer. The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the website. Microsoft and the hosting provider operate under their own terms.
